A home of our own

I can’t believe there is only ONE week left until we close on our house.  I couldn’t help but think when I left this morning that when I shut the door this time next week I won’t be going back in.  That’s so crazy to me!

While we have to live in an apartment for a month or two while we wait to close on our new house, I am finally getting over the nerves of signing my life away and getting really excited to build a home together with Jon.  He owns the house we are in now, and while I feel perfectly comfortable being there and have settled in and made it my place too, I am excited to be equal owners and be able to “nest” from scratch.

I’ve never decorated a house before!  And this will be more of a home, a place for us to get married, have a family and grow old together.  Only one more week and a new chapter begins…
